Programme

Registration and get-together

There will be a registration and get-together aperitif from 5pm to 8pm on Sunday September 10 in Lausanne city centre.

Scientific programme

The conference will start on Monday September 11 in the morning at EPFL and finish on Friday September 15, lunchtime. The scientific contributions will be given in the form of oral and poster presentations. To favour scientific interaction there will only be two parallel sessions.

Poster presentations

Special emphasis will be put on the poster presentations. Three poster sessions are foreseen on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday late afternoons. A buffet-dinner will be organized during each poster session.

There will be three "Best poster awards" with CHF 1'000 each to reward the three best posters. The selection will be made by the members of the Programme and Advisory Committees.

Excursion and banquet cruise

On Wednesday afternoon we will have a more relaxing time. It will start with a visit to the Olympic museum (Lausanne was choosen in 1953 as Olympic capital by Pierre de Coubertin who revived the Olympic movement) or if you prefer you will be able to rest or shop.

Mid afternoon, we will all take the boat and cruise towards the east end of the lake to visit the castle of Chillon, made famous by Lord Byron in his poem "The prisoner of Chillon".

We will then cruise back to Lausanne, whilst enjoying the conference banquet on the lake.
